How to tie a tie Knot – Windsor – Oriental – Shelby Knot

Oriental Tie Knot:

    • Place the tie in a semi-circular way around the collar of your neck.

Half-Windsor Tie Knot:

  • By placing in crossing position thick strap of the tie over the narrow spot of the tie.
  • Now place the thick end of the tie around and keep it in a downward position towards the narrow end strap.
  • Heading towards the next step, keep the thick end side in an upward direction and do drag it downwards, passing through the hole between your collar and tie.
  • Now, this creates the position like a thick end founded around the front side, from the right side towards the left side over the thin narrow end.
  • Again, place the thick end of the tie back towards the upside by passing it through the loop.
  • Place the thick end in a downward position by passing it through the knot on the front side.
  • Now in last, tightly tie the knot with hands.

Full-Windsor Tie Knot:

This style of tie-knot is referred to as the most attractive one and is generally used in context with formal dress code. This tie knot is also worn by individuals most of the time in wedding events.

  • Place the tie in a semi-circular way around the collar of your neck.
  • Keep both sides of the tie equal.
  • Now the thick side of the tie must be dragged downwards just like two inches below.
  • Keep crossing the thick end part of the tie by placing it over the narrow end.
  • Place the thick end in an upward position by passing it through the hole b/w the collar and the tie. Now, drag it in a downward position leading towards the front.
  • Place the tick end under the narrow end towards the right side.
  • Now, place back the narrow end by passing it again through the loop. Here. It looks like a triangle shape knot.
  • Wrap up the thick end around the triangle by dragging the thick end leading right towards the left.
  • Place the thick end third time in an upward direction passing it through the loop.
  • Drag the thick end heading the tie knot on the front side.
  • tightly tie the knot with your hands and adjust it according to the desired comfort.

Shelby Tie Knot:

  • Let’s Shelby knot initiated by draping the tie inside out around the neck, thicker end strap on the right side.
  • Place the thick end below the thin narrow end.
  • Place the thick end in an upward position and drag it in downside by passing it through the loop in between the neck and tie.
  • All around keep pulling the thicker end and place it to the left side.
  • By placing it through below the thicker end towards the right side.
  • Drag the thick end upwards the loop in b/w the neck and tie.
  • The last step is to tie the thick end of the knot with the thread and adjust the knot according to the desired comfort.

Four-in-Hand Tie Knot:

This is the most-easiest one for beginners.

  • Same as previously mentioned, starting step is to drape the tie straps around the collar of your neck.
  • The thicker end strap enlengthens up to 12 inches but should lie under the narrow-ended strap.
  • By placing in crossing position thick strap of the tie over the narrow spot of the tie.
  • Do fold the thick end back below the narrow end.
  • Keep warped the thick end around the narrow end by placing it in front of the narrow end repeatedly.
  • Drag the thick end towards an upside by passing it through the backside of the loop.
  • With the help of the middle finger try to hold the front of the knot and now place the thick end in a downward position by passing it through the front knot.
  • Now, with enough attention, tight the tie knot to the gills by holding it with the narrow end N and do slide the knot on an upward side.
  • Do adjust the knot according to the desired comfort.
